Embroidery

Thread stitched over a digitised file — the standard way to put a mark on a garment permanently.

Every embroidered design begins as a digitised file: the artwork is converted into stitch paths, with direction, density and underlay set by hand so the thread lies evenly over the fabric. From there the machine follows the file, typically stitching several heads at once.

Embroidery gives a raised, tactile finish that outlasts print in heavy-wear areas, and it works on structured garments such as caps, jackets and polos where a flat print would look thin. Gradients are approximated with thread blends rather than true fades.
