Rivets
Two-part metal studs pressed through the fabric and clinched at the back, adding weight and a hard industrial edge.
Rivets are two-part fittings: the stud passes through a punched hole and the backing is compressed over it, locking the halves together. Nothing is glued, so the fixing holds through washing and wear for as long as the fabric around it does.
Placement is marked with a template so spacing stays even across a pocket, placket or hem. Each rivet adds weight and stiffness, so we usually keep them to panels and edges rather than large flat areas, and reinforce the reverse side on lightweight fabrics.
